Day 01: NJP to Yuksom – 5,670 ft (6 hours’ drive)

Day 02: Yuksom (5,670 ft) to Sachen (7,200 ft) – 4 - 4.5 hours

Day 03: Sachen (7,200 ft) – Tshoka (9,650 ft) – 3.5 – 4 hours

Day 04: Tshoka (9,650 ft) – Dzongri (12,980 ft) via Phedang (12,050 ft) – 5- 6 hours

Day 05 – Acclimatization and Rest

Day 06 – Dzongri (12,980) – Dzongri Top (13,681 ft)

Day 07 – Dzongri (12,980 ft) – Thansing (12,894 ft) via Kokchurang (12,096 ft) – 5 – 5 hours

Day 08 – Thansing (12,894 ft) – Lamuney (13,693 ft) – 4.2 kms/2hours

Day 09 – Lamuney (13,693 ft) – Goecha La (16,000 ft) and back to Kokchurang – 10 – 12 hours.

Day 10 – Kokchurang to Tsoka via Phedang – 6 -7 hours

Day 11 – Tshoka to Yuksom to NJP via Bhakim and Sachen – 6 hours

Trek to KUARY PASS

The trek over the Kuari Pass was the route followed by Shipton and Tilman on their way to the Rishi Gorge and by other mountaineers en route to the peaks on the Indo-Tibetan border.

You get truly spectacular views of the Himalayas - Trishul (23,496 ft/7,120 m) o Kedarnath (22,994 ft/6,968 m), Kamet's pyramid of granite (25,595 ft/7,756 m), Nilkanth (21,767 ft/6,596 m), the square-topped summits of Gori Parbat and Hathi Parbat, Badrinath, the icy crest of Dunagiri, Rishikot, Changabang (22,651 ft/6,864 m), Kedarnath and Chowkhamba (23,522 ft/7,128 m) and the legendary twin peaks of Nanda Devi, (25,643 ft/7,740 m), surrounded by an awesome 19,800-foot (6,000 m) wall which forms a sanctuary.

Gangotri is said to be the mythological source of the Ganga river, and the spot, where  Bhagirath worshipped Lord Shiva and mother Ganga descended on earth. Lord Shiva is said to have received the river in his matted locks at Gangotri.
Gaumukh The source of river Bhagirathi is also considered the true source of river Ganga. The area is peaceful and surreal, and offers stunning views of Mt. Shivling and the Bhagirathi group of mountains, and can be reached after an 18 km trek from Gangotri.

Tapovan is an area beyond Gaumukh consisting of a beautiful meadow, at the feet of Mt. Shivling for those in need of peace and adventure, a further 5 Kms from Gaumukh.

Sandakphu & Singalila Trek.......

Sandakphu is a wonderland for the trekkers. It's located at an altitude of 11,929ft (i.e. 3,636 meters) in Darjeeling district and on the north west of Darjeeling hill town. This is the summit or the highest point in Singalila range, and is also the highest peak in the state of West Bengal, India. The trek to Sandakphu goes all along the Singalila range. 

From Sandakphu, you can trek further up to Phalut which is another 21kms away. It takes an additional day of trek from Sandakphu on a relatively easy terrain. From Sandakphu, you can either return by the same route or take one of the several alternative routes. A popular return route is via Gurdum, Srikhola and then finally to Rimbik where one takes a transport. A full circuit or round trip trek to Sandakphu takes a total of four to five days (depending on your ability). It can be undertaken by anyone who likes to walk. In trekkers world, it's considered a soft or light trek. 

Manebhanjan

As you walk from Manebhanjan Bazaar towards the trail for Sandakphu, in 15 minutes or so you will reach the Check Post. This is where you get the permit.
